Student breaks five records

Ettalong Public School student Caleb Alipate, 11, has broken five school records the school's swimming carnival on Monday, February 14.

"Caleb has been a student at Ettalong Public School since kindergarten.

"At the school swimming carnival on Monday, February 14, Caleb entered every event he could and won all events he entered," said principal Mr Colin Wallis.

"He is an outstanding young swimmer not only in skill but also in humility and fairness.

"He is a great sportsperson in all respects," he said.

Caleb broke the school records in the 11 year boys 50m freestyle, 11 year boys 50m breast stroke, 11 year boys 50m back stroke, 11 year boys 50m butterfly and 11 year boys 200m medley.

He was a member of the winning boys relay team which also broke the school record.

"A record number of records were broken at the carnival," said Mr Wallis.
