Dog chases would-be robber
A would-be robber has been chased empty-handed from a Woy Woy convenience store by an employee's dog earlier this month.
Brisbane Water Police are appealing for witnesses to the attempted robbery on Monday, February 7, and are offering a reward of up to $1000 for information which leads to an arrest.
According to police, a man entered the convenience store on Blackwall Rd around 2.20pm on Monday, February 7, produced a knife and demanded money from a store employee.
The alleged offender ran from the store empty-handed after being chased by the employee's dog.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command searched the area, established a crime scene but were unable to locate the alleged offender.
Police wish to speak a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigations.
He is described as caucasian in appearance, aged 17 to 22 years, with green eyes and short, light-coloured hair.
Police believe the man may have left the area on a seat-less bicycle.
