Donations to charity
Peninsula bowling clubs have contributed almost $30,000 to charity over the past few months.
The most recent contributions from Peninsula bowling clubs include Umina Beach Women's Bowling Club who donated $3500 to prostate cancer research through its annual Ron Pursehouse Memorial Day.
The Sporties at Woy Woy contributed $17,400 towards the child flight helicopter service, while Ettalong Women's Bowling Club gave Woy Woy Women's Refuge $4600.
Umina Beach Bowling Club donated $4300 towards the Shirley Shuttle cancer treatment transport service.
The contributions were grants made under the Community Development and Support Expenditure scheme in lieu of poker machine tax.
