Nambucca Dr playground to be updated

The Regional Playground Committee has made a recommendation that Nambucca Dr Playground not be removed.

"The committee made a priority listing of the playgrounds, with a small number chosen to be taken out all together," head of the committee Cr Vicki Scott said.

"One recommendation was that Nambucca be one of the playgrounds with its equipment removed.

"A number of residents contacted us with their concerns so we had a look at the playground after the (Woy Woy) forum.

"We are now recommending that it be updated."

Cr Scott said the Woy Woy forum, the fourth forum to be held, had a "pretty good turnout".

"There was a mix of old and young," Cr Scott said.

Cr Scott also stated that concerns about the reserves being rezoned were not accurate.

"Council has no intention of doing anything like that, there has been no discussion about it," Cr Scott said.

An opening for the Patonga playground will be held at 12pm tomorrow and will include giveaways, Cr Scott said.
