Council works

Gosford Council has provided a list of its weekly works in progress, for this week and last week.

Works took place at Blackwall, Booker Bay, Ettalong, Ocean Beach, Umina Beach, Pretty Beach, St Huberts Island, Woy Woy and Wagstaffe.

Works at Blackwall took place at Gallipoli Ave and Springwood St, and involved the renewal of about 80 metres of sewer rising main.

A footpath is currently being constructed on Orange Grove Rd, Booker Bay.

At Ettalong Oval, the commencement of framework for the amenities block is taking place, following the construction of its slab.

Surf club rebuilding programs have begun at both the Ocean Beach and Umina Beach Surf Clubs.

The construction of the Pretty Beach boat ramp has been completed, with its officially opening taking place on November 3.

Landscaping works also took place at Pretty Beach on Como Parade last week.

On St Huberts Island, a new playground is being constructed and existing equipment removed at Solstice Ave and Attunga Ave.

Stormwater drainage construction works have commenced on Wagstaffe Ave and Mulhall St, Wagstaffe.

Pavement is being replaced on Cowper Rd, Umina, as part of road reconstruction.

A roundabout is still being constructed on Ocean Beach Rd and Wellington St, Umina.

On all streets from Woy Woy to Umina Beach, Ettalong Beach and Booker Bay, mains cleaning by scouring is in progress.

Road construction on a bridge to Etta Rd on Mt Ettalong Rd is expected to commence in December.
