Set storage proposed for Little Theatre

Gosford Council officers have recommended approval for the lodgement of a development application for a set construction and storage shed for the Peninsula Theatre, Woy Woy.

The management of the theatre had asked for approval to build the facility to be used by Woy Woy Little Theatre.

Council had already made, $40,000 available for the project with Woy Woy Little Theatre committed to funding the balance of the budget.

A preliminary estimate indicated the construction costs would be in the order of $75,000.

A competitive tendering process would be undertaken for the construction of the facility and a licence agreement between council and Woy Woy Little Theatre prepared to clearly define the roles and responsibilities of both parties in relation to the facility.

If the recommendation was approved by council, the fees of the development applications would be waived.
