Showtime at theatre

Danny Elliott and Sharna Le-Grand will appear in "Showtime" during September at the Peninsula Theatre.

"These two have received standing ovations on the QEII and have also opened for Shirley Bassey and Marina Prior," said the theatre's marketing director Ms Lisa Kelly.

Danny Elliott plays over 13 instruments including the banjo, piano, guitar, panpipes, saxophone and harmonica, and including the bagpipes and didgeridoo.

Together with Sharna, he performs duets and solos, sings and dances.

Some of the tunes from Danny's recent CD include Me and Bobby McGee, Only Make Believe, Tom Dooley, Rock Around the Lock, Battle of New Orleans and medleys from Broadway shows such as Phantom of the Opera.

"This will be a great show for fans of Danny Elliott," Ms Kelly said.
