No public toilets at new complex
Coles Bi Lo complex on the corner of Alfred and West St, Umina, has abandoned their agreement with me ensure customer toilet amenities are open and available for customers during business hours.
A resident was recently told by a Gosford Council officer that the complex was not large enough to be required to provide the customer amenity.
Surely building a disabled toilet would be evidence that it was intended to be used by customers and perhaps the staff of an equal opportunity employer.
I am waiting for a response from any Gosford councillor who is able to explain why my council approved the redevolopment of such a large complex without requiring public-customer toilet amenities be upgraded to comply with disability legislation.
Edward James,
