Many hosts for morning tea
More than 90 residents from the Peninsula area hosted a morning tea to raise funds for The Cancer Council NSW in Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, according to Central Coast Region Cancer Council coordinator Ms Lesley Chart.
Money raised would "improve the lives of local cancer patients," Ms Chart said.
"Since Australia's Biggest Morning Tea started 13 years ago, death rates from some cancers such as breast and prostate cancer have fallen by more than 20 per cent.
"Last year, Australia's Biggest Morning Tea smashed the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Simultaneous Tea Party."
