Medals become political stunt

Political exploitation of the issuing of VP Commutative Medallions has been allowed by Veterans Affairs to degenerate into a sickening political stunt.

While far too many veterans (presumably mainly Labor) chose not to have their medallions presented to them by their Federal Liberal members, they are still waiting in vain for their medallion to come in the mail.

Monday's VP day 60-year celebrations saw thousands of the medallions being handed out by publicity-greedy federal politicians who see the medallions as another vote catching exercise.
