Sun protection discussed

A free Sun Protection Update for parents, carers and staff of Peninsula Child Care Centres will be held at the Beachside Family Centre on Monday, September 5.

Central Coast Health Promotion Unit Skin Cancer Prevention coordinator Ms Helen Kale will run the session.

Topics to be covered include the current statistics on skin cancer in Australia particularly for young people, child care regulation in relation to sun protection, good sun protection practices, what skin cancers look like and where to go for skin checks.

The session will operate from 7pm to 8.30pm.
