Answer for recreation precinct
I believe I have the answer to the problems of upgrading the Peninsula Recreation Precinct.
I have identified the core problem as advised by the Member for Robertson Ms Lucy Wicks as "these buildings are much more than simple amenities".
My recommended action is simple: Refer the matter to the State government as a State Significant Development.
The Peninsula will quickly have for use a State-class recreation precinct that will easily surpass Ternigal's boardwalk as a tourist attraction.
For a modest financial outlay, there would flow untold wealth into the LGA and the Peninsula.
