Students take part in photography workshop

Year 6 students at Umina Beach Public School took part in a photography workshop on March 11.

Several students took part in the Five Lands Photography workshop which saw them visit Umina Beach to experiment with digital photography.

Principal Ms Lyn Davis said the workshop was led by an experienced photographer who taught students about different image capturing techniques before setting them loose on the beach with cameras.

Students were able to print five of their photos to take home and the school planned to display some of the works in an exhibition later in the year.
