Three young surf lifesavers from Umina and Ocean Beach Surf Life Saving Clubs have attended a Surf Life Saving NSW workshop for 15-17 year olds in Collaroy.
Umina's Lily Perry and Grace Talty and Ocean Beach's Liam Drake were three of four club members from the Central Coast to attend the Youth Opportunity Makers program.
Matt Calbert from Ocean Beach and Maddison McLeod from Umina were also part of the program as facilitators.
Surf lifesavers aged 15-17 years were invited to join the annual program during the April holidays
During the program, the club members took part in a series of workshops designed to build their communication, teamwork and goal setting skills, while educating them on the pathways and opportunities their local surf club can offer them.
