Parenting program at community centre
A five-session Tuning in to Teens parenting program will be held at the Peninsula Community Centre in Woy Woy every Tuesday from May 28 until June 25.
Presented by Uniting's Reconnecting Parents and Adolescent Team, the program is designed for parents of adolescents aged between 10 and 18 years.
The Tuning in to Teens program aims to equip parents with the skills to take a more emotionally intelligent approach to parenting, as well as giving parents the knowledge to help their teens develop emotional intelligence for themselves.
Coast Community Connections chief Mr Bruce Davis said the organisation was hosting the program following requests from parents.
The program is free to attend but bookings are recommended as space is limited.

Based off of the success of the 2018 program, Coast Community Connections will again be hosting
The sessions will teach parents valuable emotional coaching skills allowing them to develop a better understanding of their teen as well as help their teen learn to effectively manage their emotions and deal with conflict.
