School opens grounds over school holidays

Ettalong Public School will be taking part in the Share Our Space Program over the school holidays.

The school will receive $5000 in return for making the school available to the community over school holidays.

The money can be used to help upgrade school facilities for community and school use.

Participating schools were opened during the school holidays from July 9 to 20, between 8am to 5pm.

Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast, Mr Scot MacDonald, welcomed Ettalong's participation in the program.

"Opening up further schools on the Central Coast grants increased access to green spaces and sporting fields, helping children to remain active over the school holidays."
