Teammates contest singles final

Dick Thornton and Neil Williams contested the Veteran Singles Final at Umina Beach Bowling Club on July 6 in windy conditions.

The pair normally plays on the same team, winning the Zone Senior Pairs Championship earlier this year.

During the pennant season, Neil Williams leads for Dick Thornton in the Grade 1 Conference.

The singles final was a closely-fought affair.

At 15-14 in a 21-up game, it was anyone's game.
