Photo taken of whole school
Woy Woy South Public School celebrated Harmony Day on Thursday, March 21, by participating in a whole school photo with everyone organised into a rainbow serpent formation.
The photo will be blown up and displayed in the school's foyer.
"Harmony Day is a day to celebrate Australia's diversity," said Woy Woy South Public School principal Mr Terry Greedy.
"It is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home, from the many countries around the world.
"There are many ways we can celebrate Harmony Day, through sport, dance, art, film, music, storytelling, cooking and sharing cultural means.
"By participating in Harmony Day activities we can learn and understand how all Australians from diverse backgrounds equally belong to this nation and make it a better place," said Mr Greedy.
