The science is irrefutable

How very sad that we have to continually argue against people such as Mark Smith (Climate Change figures fudged, Peninsula News, March 18).

I believe Mark Smith does not have a very good understanding of what the IPCC is.

They are not a scientific organisation in themselves.

They are the forum through which hundreds of national science organisations and thousands and thousands of scientists collate their information.

The science behind global warming is irrefutable. It's happening.

CO2 is fuelling it and we are putting it there.

Perhaps you don't want to believe it?

I have no qualifications in climate science, hence I listen to experts.

If you have a leaky tap, do you ask a plumber for advice or an electrician?

Despite what you may believe, global warming is not some left wing, greenie, communist plot to redistribute wealth from poor Anglo Saxon western countries to those greedy, rich but starving Africans.
