Harmony Day concepts in class
Teachers from Empire Bay Public School incorporated Harmony Day concepts into their classwork on Thursday, March 21.
"The overriding aim of Harmony Day is to encourage all Australians to take a stand against racism, prejudice and intolerance; help build a peaceful, productive future for our children through example; make the most of our racial, cultural, social and religious diversity; and, practice traditional values of justice, equality, fairness and friendship," said Empire Bay principal Mr Brad Lewis.
"Each year our teachers address these concepts during class-time in a manner appropriate to the age of the students concerned," he said.
