Training for staff
Staff from Umina Public School attended a staff professional learning training day at Copacabana Public School on Saturday, March 23.
"All of the staff were trained in the Friends 4 Life Program," said principal Ms Lyn Davis.
"This program will support the staff and students to effectively cope with difficult and/or anxiety provoking situations and build emotional resilience and problem solving skills," said Ms Davis.
"Mr Farrugia and Mrs Cameron also attended training in budgeting and our new financial management system on Wednesday, March 27.
"They will be assisting myself and Mrs Findlay when the new system is introduced into our school in July.
"We will be one of the 229 pilot schools across the state to be using the system before other schools start to come online in 2014," she said.
