Forum to hear of eco-proposals
A free forum will be held at the Woy Woy Environment Centre on Tuesday, November 26, from 7.30pm, to explain proposals for an eco-village at Narara and a more frequent bus system for the Central Coast.
The "20-20 Vision"evening, organised by the Peninsula Environment Group, will feature two 20 minute presentations followed by a question and answer session with light refreshments.
Sydney Coastal Eco Village Group representative Ms Lyndall Paris will give details of the proposal for an eco village at the former Gosford Horticultural Institute land in Narara.
Dr Ian Charlton will also talk about his proposal for a bus route system which he said could solve the Central Coast's transport woes and obesity problem in one go.
He has devised a system of loop routes to improve the efficiency of the present bus system.
With the bus contracts in the area up for renewal in 2012, Mr Charlton said now is the time to find out more and push for the State Government to conduct a feasibility study into his proposal.
