Erosion study at Patonga
The Community Environment Network has received funding to conduct an erosion study at Patonga Creek.
The study involves measuring the rate of erosion at several locations using stainless steel pins.
The project will conduct a workshop that will demonstrate the study, including conducting a creek cleanup and weed demonstration of problem weeds along the creek.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, September 29, from 1:30pm to 4pm.
"Participants will rotate through various activities along the creek and will travel to different sites by punt," said CEN project officer Ms Jen Dwarte.
"The workshop is ideal for school aged children under adult supervision as the workshop is very hands on," she said.
Bookings are essential, phone 4349 4756 to register.
