Sherriff part of test win

Ettalong Beach bowler Aron Sherriff was part of a winning Australian team in the Australia vs South Africa test series in Moonta Memorial Park Bowling Club, South Australia, from August 30 to September 1.

Sherriff was one of the five men and five women on the Australian team to participate in the best-of-three test series.

Australia won the series 3-0, with Sherriff on both the men's triples and men's fours teams.

The Australians beat the South African side 11-7, 6-11, 4-3 in the men's triples.

The South Africans led in the men's four, before Australia came back to secure a 16-15 win.

Sherriff said he was happy with his performance in the test, as well as the performance of the team as a whole, who "all performed well and got on great as a team".

"The highlight was the dominant performance of our team, dropping only four of the 24 games played," Sherriff said.

Sherriff is now looking towards the NSW Open in Wagga Wagga in September, and the Malaysian Indoor Tournament in early October.
