Fruit and vegie week

Pretty Beach Public School sold a variety of different fruit and vegetable items in its canteen in the week of Monday, August 29, to promote Fruit and Vegie Week to the students.

Principal Ms Deborah Callender said: "Many students enjoyed tasting items they wouldn't normally eat with the free taste test."

"During this week, a group of eager students also planted more seedlings of lettuce, spinach and tomatoes in our school garden.

"These along with the sugar snap peas and corn already will be used in the canteen during next term," she said.
