Library for housing?
Gosford Cr Vicki Scott has asked if Umina Library would be included on a register of council-owned properties suitable for affordable housing.
Cr Scott asked the director of corporate services Mr Terry Thirlwell, at council's meeting of July 26, if the director could include in the register of Council-owned properties being prepared, the suitability of such properties to include affordable housing, citing Umina Library and Niagara Park Shopping Centre as examples to be excluded.
Mr Thirlwell said that council was currently going through the land register, which would be finalised in roughly six to eight weeks, and would advise the councillor at a later date.
