Concern at changes to dune planting
Gosford Council's Coastal Estuary Committee has asked the council to note its concern about changes proposed to dune vegetation in the Ettalong Foreshore Management Plan.
The council was told that committee discussion focused on the planting of smaller shrubs rather than larger shrubs, which would block views and possibly be cut down illegally by local residents.
The Committee agreed that if smaller shrubs could provide the same structural protection to the dunes as larger plants, that these would be preferable.
