Courses held at women's centre

Courses on Homeopathy for Animals, Huntington's Disease, Confidence and Arthritis will be held by the Peninsula Women's Health Centre during October and November.

They will be held at 20a McMasters Rd, Woy Woy, and bookings are essential as there are only limited spaces.

The Homoeopathy for Animals course will be held on October 16, from 10am to noon.

Conducted by Pam Hamory, this course deals with natural health for finned, furred and feathered friends, using the principles of homeopathy and the study of animal behaviour.

Participants are asked not to bring animals, but self-help hints, remedies and first aid kits will be available on the day.

Please book before October 9.

The course entitled "Huntington's Disease, What is it?" will be held on October 23, from 10am to noon, will be held at the centre.

Robin Kapp will be leading this discussion. Please book before October 16.

The Perform with Confidence course will be held on six consecutive Wednesdays: October 24 and 31 and November 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 9.30am to noon.

This course participants learn how to promote themselves with confidence, how to build better, healthier relationships socially, in the work environment and within the family.

The course also teaches how to apply these skills in the search for employment, including resumes that work, positive application letters and interview techniques to get you that job.

The facilitator is Beverley Fletcher and participants are asked to book before October 17.

Enid Monaghan will conduct a course called Living with Arthritis on October 30 from 10am to noon.

The course shows how sufferers can care for themselves and cope better, using education, medication, exercise, hydrotherapy, Tai Chi, relaxation and making use of mobility aids and household tools.

Please book for this course before October 30.
