Call to defer restructure

A recent public meeting held at Woy Woy has called for the Peninsula education restructure to be deferred.

The meeting passed an overwhelming recommendation to call on the Minister for Education, Mr John Aquilina, to defer any restructure of education in the Peninsula area of Umina and Woy Woy until results of the Vinson Inquiry into the provision of public education in New South Wales were known.

The recommendation was almost unanimous with only four votes against the motion.
