September ends with above average rainfall

The Peninsula has ended September with 70.2mm rainfall, eight per cent above average with rain recorded on just three days.

Two of those days were last Thursday and Friday, September 26 and 27, with falls of 9.7mm and 39.0mm respectively.

The September average is 65mm, according to the figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

More rain was expected over the weekend.

The September rain brought the cumulative total for the year to 1193.1mm, 15.9 per cent above the end of September average of 1029mm.
