Automatic teller still out of order
The automatic teller machine in West St, Umina, has been out of order for weeks.
This machine, outside Peninsular Office Supplies, is owned by "Precinct".
On Tuesday, September 24, I rang Dr Reid's office and reported the problem to his receptionist.
He gave me a telephone number.
It took me the entire day on Wednesday to connect with them and was assured that a "technical team" would be attending to it.
Today, Saturday, September 28, it is still out of order.
There is no bank in Umina, and only one other ATM, which charges fees.
Many elderly and disabled residents are severely disadvantaged by this.
In addition, the local caravan park is fully booked with visitors, who need to access cash, particularly during weekends and school holidays.
