Cockatoo 'a nuisuance'

Gosford Council has received a petition from six Umina residents asking it to investigate a nuisance cockatoo at Winifred St, Umina.

The petitioners stated that the cockatoo "screeches all day and night, waking them up regularly throughout the night".

The petitioners asked that council investigate the matter as soon as practicable.

Council has referred the petition to its education and compliance department.
