Council works

Gosford Council has provided a list of projects begun or completed recently on the Peninsula.

Work took place at Booker Bay, Patonga, Pretty Beach, St Huberts Island, Umina, Wagstaffe, Woy Woy, Killcare Heights and Bensville.

Works at Woy Woy involved the construction of footpath on Ocean Beach Rd and a cycleway on The Boulevarde.

Work at Umina involved the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Ocean Beach Rd and Wellington St, and the adjustment of driveways on Mt Ettalong Rd.

Work at Patonga involved the completion of stage one of the caravan park.

Stage two is due for completion in October.

On St Huberts Island, the existing playground on the corner of Solstice Ave and Attunga Ave was removed in preparation for a new playground.

At Pretty Beach construction had commenced on a boat ramp.

A sewer rising main has also been adjusted on Como Parade, Pretty Beach, in conjunction with the construction of a road crossing.

Work on Orange Grove Rd at Booker Bay involved the construction of a footpath.

At the intersection of Wards Hill Rd and the Scenic Rd, Killcare Heights, stormwater drainage was 85 per cent complete with roadside restoration in progress.

Work at Wagstaffe involved the construction of stormwater drainage in Mulhall St.

At Bensville, seats were being installed and landscaping finished at Ben Davies Park.

Mains cleaning by air scouring has also been taking place on the Peninsula, in all streets from Woy Woy to Umina Beach and Booker Bay.
