New times for bus stand

Gosford Council has resolved to alter times for the bus stand in Bullion St, Umina Beach.

The new times will be 8am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday, 2pm to 6pm Saturday and 9am to 1pm on Sunday.

Busways had asked that the bus stand be either changed to these times or that the zone be made a full time bus stand.

A bus stand exists on the western side of Bullion St to enable buses to be parked while the drivers undertake their obligatory meal breaks.

However, bus drivers reported to council that the stand is regularly occupied by parked cars when they attempt to take a meal break.

The stand is currently signposted as 8am to 9am and 4pm to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.

A report from council stated that "these times do not accord with current meal break times".
