Bridge club adopts new constitution

The Brisbane Water Bridge Club has decided to adopt a new constitution.

A new template was recommended by the State Government and endorsed by the Australian Bridge Foundation.

The decision was made at an extraordinary general meeting of members held on October 14.

Approval of the constitution means members will now be able to nominate other members for committee positions, vote prior to an annual meeting and many other activities using the new online facilities of the website.

The recently conducted Labor Day Pairs were won by Ms Pam Gowthorp and Mr Alfred Loomis with a very creditable 57.6 per cent just pipping Ms Heather Cox and Ms Pamela Lumby with 56.1 per cent and Mr David Snow and Mr Martin Johnson with 55.9 per cent.

New members and visitors from other clubs are made welcome.
