Band recruitment night at Umina

A band recruitment night will be held at Umina Beach Public School on Monday, October 30.

The evening is designed to inform parents and students about the school's band program.

"This program offers incredible opportunities for students to learn a musical instrument at a cheaper rate than most private centres," said relieving principal Ms Sharlene Percival.

Th meeting will be held in the school library from 6pm.

Examples of some of the instruments, and information about how the program runs and the benefits to students will be outlined.

Students who will be in Years 3 to 6 are eligible to join.

Parents have also been invited to attend the training band on the morning of Monday, October 30.

"The training band will be showcasing a sample of what they have been learning during band tutorials this year," Ms Percival said.

It will take place in the hall from 9:30am to 9:45am.
