Robbed of handbag
An 86-year-old woman was robbed of her handbag on Monday, September 1, in Woy Woy.
The woman told police she was walking through a laneway behind Woy Woy oval at about 11am when a man ran past and snatched her bag from her hands.
He continued running towards Camellia Circle.
A number of witnesses assisted the victim until police and emergency services arrived.
A canvass of the area was conducted and police are now appealing for help to locate a man they believe can assist with their investigation.
He has been described as being of caucasian appearance, about 183cm tall with a medium to large build.
At the time he was wearing a beige-coloured baseball cap, beige jumper and white running shoes.
