School holiday pottery workshops
The Ettalong Beach Arts and Craft Centre will hold school holiday pottery workshops for children on Monday, September 23, Tuesday, September 24, and Wednesday, September 25.
The classes will run from 1pm until 4pm, with Monday, September 30, marked for glazing the students' creations.
The workshops will be taught by Annette Poole, a tutor with the Ettalong Beach Arts and Craft Centre.
Students will learn hand building and, for participants over the age of 14, instructions in wheel work will be available.
For those who are new to pottery, the workshops will provide an opportunity to create a personal piece of artwork that can be a special gift or kept as a reminder of happy holiday activities.
Pottery will be bisque fired and ready for students to glaze on the last day of the course and arrangements for collection can be made with Ms Poole.
The fee for each workshop is $100 payable on the first day.
There is also a small fee to cover glazing costs when the completed artworks are collected.
This fee is based on the weight of each item at $1.80 per kg.
