Win double passes to Little Theatre
Peninsula News in association with Woy Woy Little Theatre is giving away two double passes to the upcoming performance of Woody Allen's Don't Drink the Water.
The play will run at the Peninsula Theatre from October 30 to November 15 and feature the talents of local actors.
Theatre group publicity officer Ms Patrice Horne said the play would have audiences rolling in the aisles with laughter.
"A caterer from New Jersey takes his family on vacation to a fictional Eastern European country," Ms Horne said.
"The trip turns sour when, thanks to a series of misunderstandings involving some inopportune snapshots, they are accused of espionage.
"The family goes on the run, taking refuge in the American Embassy.
"There, with the help of a wily young diplomat, they try to figure out a way to return to America without sparking an international incident.
"Don't Drink the Water, Woody Allen's first play, ran for over a year on Broadway.
"In the 90s, Allen wrote and directed the TV adaptation and starred as Walter Hollander, a Newark caterer, proud to be the first guy to 'make the bridegroom out of potato salad'.
"Director Christine Vale, a theatre veteran and one of Woy Woy Little Theatre's most popular actors, has gathered a large cast comprising of Graham Vale, Cathy Stone, Peter Santangelo, Steve Killeen, Lyndsay Doyle, Nigel Stanley, Jo Stanley, Chris Barnes, Virginia Skinner, Joan Dalgleish, Alan and Hilda Bird and Patrice Horne."
For a chance to win a double pass, simply write your name, address and contact number of the back of an envelope and send to: Peninsula News WWLT Don't Drink the Water Competition, PO Box 532, Woy Woy, NSW 2256.
