Team competes

Empire Bay Public School's senior rugby league team competed in the first round of the PSSA Rugby League Knockout Competition on June 5.

School principal Ms Sharon McEvoy said the team played extremely well but were beaten 28 to four by Umina.

"The team then played Valley View Public School in a consolation round and won 24 to eight," Ms McEvoy said.

The team was coached by Darren Shaw.
