Angels wanted
A service specialising in home, aged, child and family care is calling on Peninsula job seekers to join its team.
Dial An Angel has been providing quality services to thousands of Australian families since it was founded in 1967, according to chief executive officer Ms Danielle Robertson.
"When most companies are laying-off employees, Dial An Angel still cannot get enough Angels around Gosford for home and family care," Ms Robertson said.
"Founded in 1967 Dial An Angel has been through many recessions and they know to make the most of the tough times, in fact they are even looking towards a bright future.
"We need top quality angels in and around the Eastern Suburbs, Northern Suburbs, Penrith, and Gosford to supply domestic cleaning, housekeeping, cooking, childcare, in-home nursing, companion and convalescent care, care for the frail and the severely disabled, handyman-gardeners, caretaking and petcare.
"Dial An Angel is one of the few home and family care agencies which is able to provide in-home services nationally.
"Its clients are the largest cross-section of people imaginable - from young mothers to the terminally ill.
"Services extend to busy professionals, bachelors, single parents, early discharge patients, clients convalescing from illness or injury, the severely disabled, the incapacitated and time-poor parents who just need an extra pair of capable hands."
Ms Robertson said its employees come from all ages but are primarily caring, skilled and highly competent workers.
"Some are active, youthful, caring seniors and retirees, young mothers with children at school who have a few hours to spare; houseproud homemakers; care-workers; nurses (RNs, ENs, AINs and PCAs); final year Uni students studying social work, medicine, physiotherapy, and nursing," Ms Robertson said.
"They can be mums who have raised their children, active grandmothers who want to stay that way mentally and physically, and granddads, who enjoy driving and working in the garden and around the home.
"In fact, some of our most experienced and skilled angels are seniors."
