Retiree wins $10,000
A Peninsula retiree has won a $10,000 prize in the $2 Jackpot Lottery on December 9.
The winning ticket was sold at Woy Woy Newsagency.
According to NSW Lotteries, the winner said: "I was in the import, export business and did some hard yakka.
"I was just eight years old when my mother started buying tickets and I have been buying them for years.
"I might use the money to buy a boat and go fishing."
Woy Woy Newsagency employee Ms Trish Haggerty said she was delighted to see a local resident win the prize money.
"It's been a while and we're overdue for a major prize."
