Beach safety taught at surf club

Members of Umina Beach Surf Life Saving Club will hold a beach safety presentation for people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities on Friday, February 13.

The Communities Catching Waves program is a Gosford Council initiative and aims to teach general beach safety.

Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to learn to surf with council surf school instructors at Umina Beach.

Morning tea, refreshments and a barbecue lunch will be provided on the day.

The first course will run from 10am to 3pm at Umina Beach Surf Club.

For more information, contact Liam Heyden on 4325 8292.
