Students in spelling test
Twenty-four students from Woy Woy Public School participated in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools' spelling assessment last month.
School principal Ms Ona Buckley said Thomas Laznik, Isaac Orr-Green and Nora Holmes gained a Distinction in the Spelling Assessment.
Other students gained credits and participation awards.
The spelling assessment was developed by the Educational Assessment Australia unit of the University of New South Wales, and is conducted annually across Australia in 12 other countries.
There are more than 1.5 million entries worldwide.
