Welcome signs show community spirit
I write on behalf of the Ettalong Beach Heritage Committee who are a group of local residents and business people whose objective is to work together to improve our town centres, to have a sense of place and pride but more importantly to have a cohesive community for our children to grown up in.
The comments made by Kay Williams of Pearl Beach belittling a local family were quite unnecessary.
Along with a number of businesses, the Heritage Committee contributed $7000 to a terrific project to have welcome signs installed to show community spirit to visitors to our area.
Our committee will continue to improve on the area.
