Opening gates on cheap labour
Perhaps Finance Minister Minchin has let the cat out of the bag on a re-elected Coalition government's next IR move.
By down playing a skills shortage and saying its a labour shortage, perhaps the Government plans on opening the gates to allow cheap labour into Australia.
China is pushing hard to get unlimited access to its unskilled workers to work on resource projects as part of the Free Trade Agreement.
The government has never publicly said that this is out of the question.
I think this is an issue that should be clarified by both sides of politics.
