School receives readathon gift
Empire Bay Public School was presented with a gift of appreciation on November 16 for raising more than $1800 in this year's MS Readathon.
The school was presented with a Kodak digital camera and a certificate of appreciation to acknowledge the efforts of the 34 students who participated.
Saige Stubbs, Sienna Trenholme, Amber Prior, Aimee Young and Sophie Parker received individual certificates for being top fundraisers at the school.
"Congratulations to all the students who were inspired to read for a reason and change the lives of Australians living with multiple sclerosis," school principal Ms Sharon McEvoy said.
