Bays group offers scholarship

The Bays Community Group is calling for candidates for the Bays Community Group Scholarship Program.

"Whether you are attempting to travel overseas as an exchange student, aiming to represent your state or country in sport or wanting to study at university, the Bays Community Group executive committee wants to hear from you now," the group'ss president Mr Bob Puffett said.

"Last year we were so impressed by one of our local resident's efforts to raise funds to travel to Italy as an exchange student, we decided to start The Bays Community Group Scholarship Program.

"It is now time to select another worthy candidate for 2007."

The winner will receive a cheque for $150 and a certificate of congratulations from the Bays community.

All applications or nominations should be sent to baysbulletin@hotmail.com with the applicants name, address, contact number and email address.

The winner will be announced at the December meeting of the group to held from 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 19.
