Not in Australia's interest
Will the ALP have the guts and maturity to put Australia's interests first?
Or will it go the same way as during the 2001 when Mr. Beazley claimed the ALP had to support Border Protection and the Pacific "Solution" on account of perceived public sentiment and the election?
We opposed the Pacific Solution publicly then and we now oppose the US Free Trade Agreement.
The agreement is not in Australia's interest.
The ALP knows that.
It should stick to its guns this time and wear the flack of small self-interested groups.
That is what will help them win the election.
