Bushland was reason for buying house

My wife and I recently moved to the Central Coast and bought a house in Veron Rd, Umina.

One of the main reasons why we bought this particular house was the lovely piece of bushland a few doors away on the corner of Veron Rd and Hillview St.

Now we discover it is to be destroyed and 41 units built on the site.

This bushland should be preserved as open space, not only because of the great pleasure it brings to the local community, but also because it is an ecologically sensitive area.

I urge the council to purchase this block for posterity.
